Another Song completed

Weds 30 Oct - I've just sent another Song, "LORD YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU" to Chris King, my Producer. This is the vital scene where Peter is asked three times by Jesus "Do you love me", and Peter replies "Lord you know everything, you know I love you" (see John 21:15-19).

NB. I'm not composing in Song Order - I fins it easier to do songs as they "grab me".

That's 5 done now. There could be about 15 altogether. I've started almost everyone.

Another song complete!

I've just completed another song and will send it to my producer today. This song is called 'Surely you must have been with him', and covers the dramatic episode where Peter denies Jesus.

I'm also working on a pop-style number called 'You are Messiah'. I'm hoping there will be some exciting dance in this. I've been inputting it into Sibelius on my computer, which means I can change the key signatures specially for Helen and all others who play transposing instruments. I may not listen when she complains though - composer's prerogative.

Songs just completed:

I've been working really hard and had a lunch-time meeting with Alison Fuggle, the lyricist. Please pray that the creative flow will continue, despite being away from home a lot.

I sent off "This is the place" to Chris King in early October, who immediately sequenced it and has returned a lovely backing track. I'm hoping it will become the audition song ready for the auditions in early December.

Opening song - "Rock of Ages" - now sent off to Tim Jones for sequencing.

I'm aiming to complete two or three more songs this month.

Rock Layout

A bit more of the layout:

Rock of ages (old words, new up-tempo tune)
In Caesarea beside the sea - I've had a vision - Are you in a spot of bother?
In the family business /I will follow you (Peter's call in Galilee)
You are Messiah, the Son of the living God
In this bread, in this wine
Surely you must have been with him
Were you there / This is the stone / Rock of ages
This is the place (It is the Lord)
Simon Peter do you love me? (Lord you know)
A chosen people / This is the stone (Pentecost)
Just as I am / I will follow you
I've had a vision (Peter) / A chosen people (at Caesarea)
Rock of ages / My hope is built on thing less

That's the plan so far. We have started every song, and almost completed a few. But, there is still a lot to do. Please keep praying for us. I meet with Alison Fuggle (lyricist) regularly.
