Rock Rehearsals

Cast rehearsals for the drama are underway. Drama rehearsals are always hard work - most of the cast were taken on for their singing skills and not... well there I'll be quiet...

We really got down to looking at the script on Tuesday, and started putting some of the scenes together. Here's some action shots and a video. Sorry about the echo...

Rock Recording Day

Over 250 people came to Christ Church, Ward End, in Birmingham on Saturday to help record the choral parts for Rock. The day was a fantastic success, and was made complete by a celebration of Roger's birthday complete with enormous cakes and a powerpoint presentation of embarrasing photos of Roger!

Instrumentalists for Tour

We are delighted to announce that the Touring Instrumental Group will be:

They will be starting rehearsals soon, once the CD recording is complete.

Rock update

Apologies on Roger's behalf for the lack of update on this blog.

Rehearsals have been going very well indeed for Rock. The team of soloists seem to be gelling well together, and the sound produced is going to be excellent.

Today (Monday) and tomorrow we will be recording the solo parts for the musical in Chris' "very big house in the country", which should be fun. Please pray for us as we have a lot to fit in a very short space of time. Today will be the men - Devon, Simon, Bill, Martin, Paul, Richard and Jonathan, with Ann and Alyson coming to fill in some of their parts. Tomorrow will be the rest of the ladies - Catherine, Helen, Rachel and Clair, and possibly Devon too, depending on how well today goes.


On Saturday we held the dance auditions. They went very well indeed. We saw some wonderful dancers, and we are now seeking the Lord for what to do next.

And the final bit of news is that the drama has been written, and we are looking forward to the first drama rehearsal on May 6th.
